ABSTRACT: Early childhood education plays a pivotal role in developing leadership skills, which are essential for children's social and academic success. This study explores how early childhood education programs influence the development of leadership skills in young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's ability to take initiative and lead, (2) evaluate the integration of leadership development activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's social interactions and teamwork abilities. A survey design is justified as it enables comprehensive data collection on the influence of early childhood education on leadership skills. A purposive sample of 110 children  from preschools in Enugu State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its leadership development program. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's ability to take initiative and lead, the effectiveness of leadership development activities, and positive changes in children's social interactions and teamwork abilities. Recommendations included integrating leadership development activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's leadership skills.
